Feeling You(th). Phase III: Call for Young People - Foundation P&V
Feeling You(th). Phase III: Call for Young People
Every three years, the P&V Foundation launches a multi year project based on scientific knowledge and the voices of young people. In 2024–2026, young people’s mental wellbeing is at the heart of the project, through research, a call for projects and concrete field actions.
For the final action oriented phase, we are looking for a diverse group of young people (18–28 years old) from across Belgium to join “Agents of Change – Youth for Mental Wellbeing.”
Why this call?
Mental wellbeing is essential, yet it is under pressure for many young people. Life satisfaction is declining, health problems are increasing, and factors such as school pressure, social expectations, discrimination, social media, and uncertainty about the future all play a role.
In the first phases of the multi year project Feeling You(th), we brought together researchers and young people and supported initiatives across Belgium that strengthen young people’s mental wellbeing. We are now taking a new step: not only consulting young people, but truly putting them in the driver’s seat to shape change.
Do you want to help define how to improve young people’s mental wellbeing? Then read on and sign up! Together, we will build ideas, themes, approaches and impact for mental wellbeing: by young people, with young people and for young people.
What is the “Agents of Change” programme?
Agents of Change – You(th) for Mental Wellbeing is a programme in which young people:
- Explore themes related to mental wellbeing (e.g. school, social media, sports, arts/creativity, inclusion, social bonds…)
- Gather perspectives through exchanges, project visits and peer learning
- Learn how to turn an idea into a concrete and effective approach
- Formulate recommendations for organisations and decision makers
- Present these recommendations in a creative and accessible way (campaign, video, exhibition, report, festival…)
What is the timeline?
As an agent of change for mental wellbeing, you will take part in a 9 month programme, but it is by no means a full time commitment. The programme is designed to be flexible and compatible with studies, a job, or other engagements.
Concretely, the programme includes:
- In person weekend sessions
- A few online sessions
- Project visits at various moments
These activities are spread across the full 9 months. You are part of the programme over time, but participation is intermittent.
The kick off weekend will take place on 21 and 22 March 2026: we will get to know each other, build a safe and trusting space, explore what mental wellbeing means for young people today, and outline the first steps of the programme.
We will then work together until the final event on 13 October 2026, a Youth Mental Wellbeing Festival, where we will share our ideas and recommendations in a creative way!
Who can apply?
We are looking for young people aged 18 to 28, from Brussels, Flanders and Wallonia, with diverse backgrounds and experiences.
No diploma or expertise is required, only the motivation to contribute to change.
What we offer
- An inspiring and supportive group of young people from across Belgium
