News detail - Foundation P&V
In 2026, the year of volunteers, P&V Group and the P&V Foundation expand their existing initiatives
In 2026, the United Nations is putting volunteering in the spotlight through the International Year of Volunteers for Sustainable Development. At the P&V Foundation, this global momentum takes on a very concrete form. The commitment of P&V Group employees is expressed in particular through two initiatives: BOOST 2026 and Move2Impact. Two complementary ways of contributing, with one shared objective: to sustainably support youth organizations and help build a more inclusive society.
The BOOST program
BOOST is a skills-based volunteering program that has existed for around ten years: employees of the P&V Group place their professional expertise at the service of partner organizations. Communication, finance, HR, governance, legal advice, IT… the challenges are numerous and often structural.
On January 20, 2026, the new BOOST teams were launched in Brussels and Antwerp. This year, 58 P&V Group employees are volunteering to support 14 youth organizations from the P&V Foundation network.
In 2026, the BOOST program supports the following organizations: Atlemo, Broeinest, Chapp De Mic, City Pirates, Déclic, D’une Cime à l’Autre, GATAM, Ghent Basketball, La Porte Verte – Snijboontje, Red Side Academy, TAJO, The Red Pencil, Touché, Youth Unity Empowerment.
For these organizations, BOOST goes beyond simple one-off support. It enables them to structure their operations, professionalize their practices, and strengthen their long-term impact on young people.
BOOST is also a rewarding experience for P&V Group employees. By immersing themselves in the realities of the non-profit sector, they discover new ways of working, develop new interpersonal skills, and deepen their understanding of social challenges.
It is a mutually beneficial relationship, from which everyone learns.
Move2Impact: mobilizing collective energy
Another highlight of this Year of Volunteers is Move2Impact, a relay race that combines sport, team spirit, and social impact.
On February 11, 2026, 45 P&V Group employees took part and raised more than €6,000 for 9 organizations from the P&V Foundation network: City Pirates, Déclic, Ghent Basketball, HipPopRockStars / Chapp de Mic, La Porte Verte–Snijboontje, Molenbeek Rebels Basketball, Play4Peace, TAJO, Touché.
Every step translates into tangible support for organizations working on inclusion, social cohesion, and youth empowerment. Behind the kilometres covered lies essential financial support for structures that are often made vulnerable by the current economic context.
The Year of Volunteers: giving meaning to engagement
In 2026, the P&V Group and the P&V Foundation support existing initiatives and offer more opportunities for employee engagement.
BOOST 2026 and Move2Impact demonstrate that when professional skills meet human energy, the impact is tangible and lasting. Getting involved today means building the society of tomorrow and supporting youth organizations, which are key actors in that process.
Recent studies also highlight the positive effects of volunteering: volunteers report better physical and mental health, benefit from a more positive image among employers, and often see their chances of employment increase. The studies also show that volunteering strengthens social integration and helps reduce certain inequalities, confirming that it benefits both society and those who engage in it.
